The Malaysian Invasion

A few years back, Indonesian players did the unthinkable. A handful moved overseas to ply their trade. The likes of Bambang Pamungkas, Budi Sudarsono, Eli Aiboy and Ponaryo Astaman wooed fans in Malaysia until the FA their decided to shut the door on foreign players.

Now, a few are returning.

I have written previously about Hamkah Hamza joining PKNS.

Following in his trail is Patrich Wanggai who has signed for T Team and Andik Vermansyah who has joined Selangor.

It may not be a flood of players but it is a start and follows on from Irfan Bachdim's short stint in Thailand in 2013 where he played for Chonburi and Sri Racha.
