An Indonesian website has linked Persija striker Bambang Pamungkas with Malaysian side Selangor. Even though the MSL has prohibited foreign players for this season. But does that ban apply also to the Malaysia Cup?
Bambang has a successful spell with the Red Giants a few years back scoring 40 goals in one season.

Yes. The ban imposed for all competition in 2009 including Malaysia Cup. A club or state only can loan player from a team who didn't qualify for the Malaysia Cup competition.
But god knows may be FAM will lift the ban for next season. They are really good in making surprise.
