Persitara homeless again

Persitara have been made homeless again. The side from North Jakarta had hoped to start the season using Bung Karno but that was never going to happen given that they average 3,000 per home game.

After living out of suitcases for several months they finally settled on Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta. But now that football has been banned in the capital for several months, how daft is that, they must look again for a new stadium.

Their Copa Indonesia tie against Persebaya has been put on hold until after the IPL side finish their campaign early next month. Persitara have proposed a number of stadiums for hosting this tie including Karawang, Purwakarta, Kuningan, Cilegon and the old standbt Jalak Harupat.

But ISL games are a different plate of bakso. Stadiums must meet minimum criteria and of the aformentioned foursome only Jalak Harupat ticks all the boxes.

Their ISL game with Persib tomorrow has now ben cancelled while everyone wonders what to do.

Meanwhile Persija pack their bags and head to Malang where they play Arema this weekend. Next Wednesday they host PSM also in Malang as they look to catch up the 16 points that seperate them from leaders Persipura.

They have five games in hand with a home game against the Black Pearls to be played sometime so they head east knowing they need maximum points if they are going to keep their title challenge alive.
