Gonzalez nets two as Persik go 4th

The race for the Top 4 in the Western Division is settling down as three of the contenders won comfortably yesterday. Robertinho inspired Persija in the Jakarta Derby while in Sumatra Benben Berlian's last minute goal was enough for Sriwijaya to collect three points at struggling Semen Padang and stay top with 60 points from 31 games, six clear of both PSMS and Persija.

Christian Gonzalez made it 28 for the season as Persik beat PSIS in the evening game and they move five points clear of Persela who could only manage a 2-2 draw in Malang.

Persib Bandung, who have led the league for so long, now find themselves in 6th spot on 47 points, six points behind 4th placed Persik. On Saturday they travel to Persita who also harbour an outside chance of Top 4 play off football.

In the Eastern Division Sidoarjo Deltras, without Jose Sebastian and Hilton Moriera still managed to hit four past hapless Persigi Bali to climb up to second, level on points with Persipura, with two games left. In the other game PSIM were held to a 1-1 draw by Persebaya, only their second away point of the season and Lucky Wahyu's second in two game.

Srwijaya are the only team guaranteed in the Big 8 Play Offs at the moment. Things are tightest in the Eastern Division where 10 points separate the top 10 teams.

1 - Persipura 30 games played 55 points
2 - Deltras 32 55
3 - Persiwa 30 52
4 - Arema 31 52
5 - Persiter 30 51
6 - Persmin 30 50
7 - Persiba 31 49
8 - PSM 30 48

A crucial weekend coming up, I'll do a preview later tonight if I don't go to the pub!
